Comentariile sunt scrise in engleza pentru accesibilitate. These conclusions are based on a short listening session, as I received the Trifecta today. I was a bit nervous after reading some reviews that criticized the Trifecta for its quirky tuning and lack of vocal presence. However, I have to say—these are some splendid IEMs.

I first listened to Miley Cyrus & Metallica’s rendition of Nothing Else Matters, and the first thing that caught my attention was how hard the bass hits and how dense the sound is—you feel a wall of sound in front of you, in the best way possible. Miley Cyrus’s voice is not recessed; in fact, it’s slightly forward and remains present despite the very powerful bass, with no coloration from it. The treble has sparkle without harshness or sibilance, at least on these tracks.

Listening to Michael Jackson’s Will You Be There, I got the same impression: very powerful and textured bass, along with vocals that have good timbre, presence, and—at this price point—an above-average ability to convey emotion.

Compared to the U12T, which I have on hand, the bass on the Trifecta is much more prominent and carries greater weight. The texture is comparable. Vocals sound fuller on the Trifecta, with a more analog character, while the U12T is slightly more detailed. In terms of micro dynamics, the U12T performs better. But when it comes to macro dynamics, the Trifecta is far more impactful, more than compensating for the slightly lower microdetail.

One last point, achieving a good seal is essential to get the most out of the Trifecta, as they lose some of their impact without it.
